Altar Ministers serve during mass. They are our Alter Servers, Lectors, Ministers of Holy Communion, and Ushers.

Altar Servers

Altar servers are those called to serve during the Mass. They help set the pace and guide the congregation in the responses and actions during the Mass. They help bring a spirit of holiness and reverence to the celebration  Age and gender is not a restriction once they have celebrated 1st Communion.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are those who have a special love of Christ in the Eucharist. They participate in the Mass by giving Communion to the faithful and by bringing it to those who are in the hospital and to the homebound.

Lectors

According to ancient tradition and the teaching of the Church, the readings other than the Gospel are proclaimed by lay ministers called lectors.

Ushers

The ministry of ushers is the oldest lay ministry in the Catholic Church. The primary duties and responsibilities include greeting and welcoming parishioners as they enter the church, helping them to find seats, and taking up the collection.
