The Sacrament of Confession is indispensable for our life of faith and growing in holiness. In fact, the Church requires all Catholics to make use of this sacrament at least once a year, although it is praiseworthy to go more often. In this beautiful sacrament, we confess our sins to God with sorrow, and He responds by lavishing His mercy upon us.

The Sacrament of Confession is available at St. Rose of Lima Church on:

  • Thursdays from 5:00–5:45pmduring Eucharistic Adoration and the Rosary
  • Fridays from 7:45–8:15ambefore morning Mass
  • Saturdays from 3:00–3:30pm

If you wish to schedule an appointment, please call the Parish Office (603) 444-2593.

“Confession heals, confession justifies, confession grants pardon of sin, all hope consists in confession; in confession there is a chance for mercy.”

St. Isidore of Seville

“Those who approach the sacrament of Penance obtain pardon from God’s mercy for the offense committed against him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church which they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, be example, and by prayer labors for their conversion.”

Catechism of the catholic church, 1422

The Sacrament of Reconciliation celebrates God’s loving forgiveness of his people, by restoring us to union with God and with the Church. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is a chance to free ourselves from sin and to turn our hearts toward God.

First Reconciliation, a Sacrament of Healing, is celebrated in the second grade after two years of religious education. Families with child(ren) who would like their child(ren) prepared for this sacrament, please contact the Parish Office at (603) 444-2593 or via email at srlandols@gmail.com.
